Product innovation continues to drive Croda’s business

MILL HALL — As Croda International grows, the head of their North American operations says product innovation will continue to be a key driver for their business. Kevin Gallagher, president of Croda, Inc., the division that oversees the company's Mill Hall manufacturing facility and other North American operations, spoke recently to members of the local plant's Community Advisory Council. Gallagher said the past year-and-a-half has been a time of change for the company with the acquisition of Uniqema, a firm based in the United Kingdom which manufactures products similar to Croda but which has strengths in different markets. “The acquisition of Uniqema has more than doubled the size of Croda International," said Gallagher. “And it has strengthened our position as a manufacturer of specialty chemicals for the cosmetics, toiletries, homecare, healthcare and pharmaceutical, plastics, food and industrial specialty markets.

New Fallout 3 Developer Diary: Brotherhood of Steel

Now imagine all of that compulsion, all of that addiction we as an entire race share, and encapsulate it into one group of people. Imagine the obsession and fervor, the unending need for technological superiority, and the ultimate futility of such a goal.

Imagine, if you will, the Brotherhood of Steel.

In Fallout 3, the Brotherhood of Steel is one of the most important and influential factions you'll encounter. And while it's true they are a military organization, the Brotherhood's values and command structure are actually more representative of a medieval knightly order. Like the Templars of old, in their own eyes, the members of the Brotherhood of Steel are pure, they are just -- they are truly human in a world filled with both physical and moral corruption.

But it is the worship of technology that truly defines and drives them.

Chief takes leave prior to retirement

Czajkowski said the reason for the leave is family medical issues. Duffy couldn't be reached for comment.

Cpt. Norm Morehead is overseeing the 28-member police department in Duffy's absence, Czajkowski said.

The board of supervisors was notified of Duffy's paid leave during an executive session Wednesday, Czajkowksi said. Because it's an administrative function, the board did not vote on the matter, or discuss it during the public portion of the meeting, he said.

HILLARY CLINTON (D), ‘08 PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL: I found my own voice. I felt like we all spoke from our hearts and I‘m so gratified that you responded. Now, together let‘s give America the kind of comeback that New Hampshire has just given me.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CARLSON: Just how did Hillary Clinton come back? It could have been the Saturday night debate. Maybe it was choking up on the trail on Monday. Maybe Bill Clinton‘s angry defense did the trick.

Women over 40 voted for her, registered Democrats voted for her. People who value experience in their candidates voted for her by a huge margin over Barack Obama. But how did it all come together in the face of poll numbers that convinced her own campaign that Hillary Clinton would lose by a double digit margin. Where does the Democratic race go from here?

In a moment, former Clinton White House special counsel Lanny Davis joins us with his view.

Sask. woman wins legal battle against drug dealer

In fact any doctor has an obligation to ensure a patient, once under their care, does not harm themselves or others.

They have no choice but to breech the client patient priviledge and alert the authorities.

As I said before it generally does little good if the addict does not want to quit. In the end, it is good to see another meth dealer off the streets.

It is good to see this young woman survive to tell her tale. It is sad to see her try to pawn the responsibility of her actions on someone else.

This means that her and her family are not truely on the road to recovery. They are in denial.

This means she will be spreading half truths to those who would engage her to speak because she had never faced the truth of her actions herself.

Adult sufferers find acne is hard to face

Age lines and acne? This wasn't supposed to happen.

Acne, normally the bane of teenagers, was flaring up on Kim Noble's 50-year-old face, causing the Atlanta businesswoman no small degree of frustration.

"I started when I was a teenager with acne problems, and as I got older, it got worse," she says.

"I was told it was due to stress and hormones. I've tried everything that was out there, from (rubbing) alcohol to injections to Accutane to Proactiv," says Noble, who has been seeing a dermatologist for years but still has flare-ups.

She's not alone. Dr. Jodi Ganz, an Atlanta dermatologist, estimates half her patients are adults with mild to severe acne breakouts.

"There are a ton of people with adult acne. For women, flare-ups usually occur the week before their periods; that's what we call hormonally linked acne.
